Vogler Family Award
This scholarship was started by Mark Vogler on behalf of his father, Hal Vogler, a pioneer in the Michigan Turfgrass Industry from the 1960’s through the early 1990’s with the W.F. Miller Corporation. Mr. Vogler loved to come to the MSU campus and share his stories and would always ask the turf faculty for a student he could quietly help out financially. Mark Vogler made this financial help more permanent with this endowed scholarship in 1994. After Mark Vogler’s sudden passing in 2018, his sons contributed further to the endowment, and it is now known as the Vogler family scholarship.
